Frequently Asked Questions

  1. How do I become a member of the OMRN?
    You can become a member of the OMRN by clicking on the "Become a member" icon and following the instructions for completing your profile. On receipt of your membership information, you will be provided with a pass code that will enable you to log in as a member, and to use all the membership privileges of the OMRN Extranet web services, including accessing the OMRN membership database, and the Working Group websites.
  2. What privileges do I have as member of the OMRN?
    OMRN members have access to the Extranet websites. These sites provide resources for: (1) exploring the OMRN membership database (of particular interst to students and researchers), (2) commenting on the "Editorial" blog commentary, (3) viewing and updating your personal profile, and (4) accessing the discussions, activity calendars, and publications of all 11 OMRN Working Groups.
  3. I have stated my interest in one of the Working Groups, as a member, can I see what the other Working Groups are doing?
    Yes. As a member with designated interest in one particular Working Group, the Working Group Leader has noted your interest and your contact information will enable you to be notified of specific activitites of that Working Group. However, as an OMRN member, you can always explore all Working Group sites. Moreover, you may modify your profile to note interest in more than one Working Group.   
  4. I am involved in a publication, report, or other activity of direct interest to one of the OMRN Working Groups. Can I have it posted on the website?
    Members with suggestions for publications, reports, or activities destined for the OMRN website are requested to contact the OMRN Working Group Leader. Working Group Leaders names and email addresses are found at the website home page of each Working Group. 
  5. How do I contact the OMRN?
    The OMRN Network Secretariat is located in Ottawa at the Telfer School of Management of the University O ttawa. The email address of the Network Secretariat is: omrn-rrgo@management.uottawa.ca. Sandra Clark is OMRN Coordinator and she can be reached directly at: clarks@management.uottawa.ca and phone: (613) 562-5800x2933. OMRN Working Group Leaders coordinates are available on the sites of the respective Working Group.
