The Working Group (WG) on Socio-Economics of Climate Change was formed to reflect the need to link research expertise on human aspects of climate change with those examining climate forecasting, impacts, adaptations and policy issues. In particular, the WG will bring research knowledge to bear on predicting and assessing the human ramifications of biophysical and ecological change that may result from climate change. Finally, the OMRN has had considerable experience in networking on climate change impacts and responses, across agencies, departments and institutions. This WG will continue that experience, building and reinforcing relationships and mobilizing knowledge on climate change themes nationally and regionally.
